Sunrise Tour and Sunset Tour details:

The sunrise tour and sunset tour occur in the dunes at the very beginning and end of the day. This enables a full view as the sunrises over the desert. The sunset excursion takes place at the end of the day to see the majesty of the desert’s sunset. Timings vary according to the time of year and the weather conditions will determine a full or partial view.

Sunrise Tour

The Sunrise Tour begins early and takes 35 minutes to reach Merzouga’s tallest dune. This excursion involves a stop at the garden on the return journey. For this excursion, an alarm clock is not required. Enjoy your evening, and we will come to get you up in the morning.​

Sunset Tour

The Sunset tour starts at roughly 5:30 p.m. Riding a camel for nearly thirty minutes to reach the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We will get off the camels and walk approximately 80 meters to Merzouga’s tallest dune. Those who wish to see a panoramic view have to climb an additional 10 minutes to reach the top. If you would rather not climb the highest dunes, the area near the camel “parking” is ideal for watching the sunset. After enjoying this brief time viewing the sunset, we will return to the village before darkness falls.
