Tour itinerary:

Day 1: MARRAKECH – AIT-BEN-HADDOU – OURZAZATTE – DADES VALLEY:

Will transport you through the High Atlas Mountains Tizi N’Tichka pass. We will have time to pause and take in the magnificent scenery, as well as enjoy a coffee and orange juice break. The afternoon will be spent touring Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site. This village of gathered Berber Kasbahs has been used in more than twenty films and was one of the most significant fortress strongholds during the caravan era in Morocco. And following our tour of the Kasbah, we will travel to the Moroccan Hollywood of Ourzazate, where we will view filming locations and explore one of the film studios or a museum, as well as the Taourirt Kasbah, before arriving at the sanctuary of Skoura, known for its palm groves. You will also visit the Kasabah of Amerhidel, which was once home to the most popular family responsible for safeguarding the village and its properties and dates to the 17th century. After passing through the capital of roses, El Kelaat M’Gouna, the vehicle will proceed to the Dades Gorges via the valley of a thousand Kasbahs. In the Dades Gorges, you will be staying in a hotel or Riad.

Day 2: DADES GORGES – SAHARA DESERT:

Will cover travel to the Desert. However, there are numerous natural tourist attractions along the route that are accessible on foot. The Todra Gorges are the most spectacular. If you have time for a brief hike in the palm grove of Todra and see the tourists climbing the Gorges, Dades Valley is approximately 64 kilometers away. In the Gorges, you will also have the opportunity to see nomads coming down to drink or carrying water jugs for themselves or their animals. Following the Gorges, you will travel via Tinjdad, where you will have lunch, to Erfoud, which is known for its fossils. Here, you can visit one of the fossil museums to get an understanding of the local industry. Proceed to the grade of the Alwite dynasty. It is approximately 35 kilometers from here to Merzouga, where you will spend the night in a hotel near the sand.

Day 3: EXPLORE SAHARA DESERT:

In the morning, you will begin to explore the area surrounding the Desert. You will begin in Khamlia or nearby to enjoy and dance with the black-skinned Sudanese, and then travel to the other side of the Sahara to see the Nomads who live there. You can spend time with them and ask them numerous questions to get an in-depth knowledge of their life and lifestyle. The Nomads here are extremely hospitable and friendly. Then, stay in the Desert until you have completed the entire tour of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Your driver/guide will transport you to a local restaurant for lunch to enjoy ‘the Berber pizza’. You will return to your hotel or Riad for a break around 3 p.m. in order to prepare for the camel excursion to the golden sand dunes. Overnight in a Berber tent.

Day 4: ERG CHEBBI – RISSANI – ERFOUD – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDELT – IFRANE – FEZ:
