On this best 5 days Morocco Desert tour from Tangier, you’ll see several fabulous places and spend a magical time ( you can choose between a standard camp and a luxury tour).
On the first day of our 5 days, we will leave Tangier, the white pigeon of Morocco, known for its calm atmosphere, purely Moroccan with a European touch. Will leave towards Chefchaouen the Blue Pearl of Morocco, enjoying the view of the Rif Mountains and small northern villages on our way. In Chefchaouen you would adore the traditional buildings of the city all in blue giving the most relaxing destination. We would visit the city’s historical places and market center to have some incredible memories. We would enjoy the art of handicrafts and handmade art pieces as a hand-woven fabric that is well-known in Chefchaouen. You will take a lunch break in one of the traditional restaurants to have their best local meal. Then, spend the night in an amazing Hotel in between the narrow alleys, so you can relax and enjoy your evening gazing at the fascinating view your balcony’s room offers.
The following part of the Tangier excursion would take place in a different type of landscape; from Chefchaouen, our group will travel to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, traveling through breathtaking landscapes and incredibly green areas. Volubilis is a significant part of Morocco’s history, with numerous myths surrounding it. Once we explore the ruins of this Roman city, we will find that Volubilis is all that remains of the Roman empire in northern Africa. You will tour the historic city of Moulay Idriss, a pilgrimage destination for all Moroccans. We will continue towards the city of Meknes, stop for a delightful Moroccan lunch, and then explore the ancient Medina’s historical ramparts, the famous Bab El Mansour, and the Moulay Ismail Shrine, among other sites. Today’s excursion will conclude in the ancient city of Fes.
The next morning would be a highlight of the excursion as we explore the oldest city in Morocco. We will begin to journey through the old Medina’s narrow alleyways, where we will discover the city’s most valuable artifacts and artisanal products. We would also explore the Fes walls, the Merinids’ Tomb, the Bou Inania Medersa from the 14th century, and the outstanding museum with its collection of illuminated works of art and ceramics. You will have lunch in the Medina to try Fes’s finest cuisine. After discovering all of Fes’s monuments, we would return to our traditional Riad for a delicious Tajine dinner and a lovely evening.
The next day of your trip, we will travel to Rabat, the capital, to see the entrancing old Medina and its souks, and we will also discover the Almoradives-built Kasbah of Oaudaya. We will be amazed by the remarkable Hassan Tower, an unfinished mosque that represents the spirit of Moroccan architecture. After a full tour of Rabat, we will continue to the city that never sleeps, where we will spend the night in an elegant hotel after dinner on a widely recognized seafood elegance from Casablanca.
On the final day of your trip from Tangier, we will have an early morning excursion of Casablanca’s marvelous historical site. We will begin with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in all of Africa. We will then guide you through the ancient Medina and its lively souks before leaving the noisy and traffic of the city and traveling towards a destination with a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Through our excursion to Assilah, you will stroll through the blue streets of the ancient Medina and enjoy a traditional cuisine in a restaurant with a breathtaking view. You would be appreciating numerous landmarks and attractions, such as the Portuguese fortress and the ancient Medina’s art stores. The conclusion of our tour. We would then transport you back to Tangier, where we will drop you off at your hotel or the airport with many memories and experiences to last a lifetime.
